Building on the success of the PPLI classroom language mats, PPLI are developing a set of language mats to support the use of home languages for multilingual children and parents. The first two languages being developed is Polish and Mandarin Chinese, while more languages will follow.
NCCA has also published the portfolio guideline for the new curricular languages (Polish, Lithuanian, Portuguese and Mandarin Chinese).
The SEC will publish the first set of sample papers for the above languages later in the year.
To further support students and parents of the new curricular languages, especially for those who are currently studying the curriculum outside of school, PPLI is planning to organise new information sessions on the portfolio and sample paper of the new languages and will continue to arrange regular information session about the new language specifications.
