Visiting Spanish Teacher Scheme

The Visiting Spanish Teacher Scheme is an agreement between the Department of Education (DoE) in Ireland and the Ministry of Education and Culture of Spain (MECS) that aims to address the shortage of qualified Spanish teachers in Ireland.

The scheme, overseen by the Department of Education and implemented by Post-Primary Languages Ireland (PPLI), offers schools the opportunity to recruit highly-qualified Spanish teachers from Spain, for a period of up to two years. Participating teachers have a minimum of two years of experience and are certified Spanish language teachers.
