Post-Primary Languages Ireland (PPLI) invites expressions of interest for the role of a Development Officer to teach Polish language classes. 

Key Duties, Experience/Qualifications, and Skills & Competencies, as well as the deadline for the receipt of the expressions of interest, are listed below.

Key Duties
The duties of the Polish Development Officer will include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Plan and deliver Polish language classes in a face to face and/ or remote capacity
• Develop resources for teaching and learning.
• Develop, proactively promote and expand the Polish language within educational setting(s).
• Engage in PPLI CPD and other CPD opportunities under the guidance of PPLI Education Officers.
• Engage with the MS Teams platform for Development Officers by sharing resources and communicating with colleagues.
• Engage and participate in the educational settings where classes take place.
• Attend PPLI staff meetings when required.

Experience/Qualifications
• Teaching Council Post-Primary (Route 2) registration required. Teaching Council Further Education (Route 1) registration can be considered where registration criteria are not available or, in special circumstances, where there are other teaching qualifications and experience in educational settings and where registration in Ireland has not been possible.

Skills & Competencies:
• Language proficiency at minimum CEFR B.2.2 level or equivalent in Polish.
• Teaching experience at post-primary level.
• Target language resource development, language promotion, and intercultural competence.
• Digital skills for teaching and learning.
• Working as part of a wider team and working on own initiative.
