Liz Mulry, Education Officer (Primary)

Liz joined PPLI as an Education Officer on the Primary Languages Team in October 2025. With over 30 years’ experience, Liz has taught at both post-primary and primary levels. She taught for 25 years in a small, rural DEIS primary school in Co. Galway at all levels, including Principal and SEN teaching.

In addition to her teaching qualifications, Liz holds an honours degree in Applied Languages from Dublin City University. She speaks French and German, is developing competency in Spanish, and has been a passionate advocate for teaching Modern Foreign Languages at primary level for many years. Liz has been an enthusiastic participant in several Erasmus+ projects, both as coordinator and partner, since 2010. This experience has convinced her of the many benefits of language acquisition at a young age. She believes passionately in the benefits of a plurilingual approach to teaching and learning, as well as the importance of developing cultural awareness, valuing cultural and linguistic diversity, and fostering inclusivity.
