In order to better understand the current context for Chinese language and culture learning in schools, required in order to better understand the context for implementation of Leaving Certificate Chinese, a small research project was carried out by researchers from Trinity College Dublin (Centre for Language and Communication Studies) and PPLI between January and May 2019 on the implementation of the Junior Cycle in Chinese Language and Culture. The team visited eleven classrooms in nine schools across Ireland as part of the study and an evaluation.
