PPLI Teacher Staff Day

The annual PPLI Teacher Staff Day took place on Tuesday 2 June. Teachers from across Ireland came together to explore practical classroom strategies, learner engagement, effective planning, and the role of AI in language education. The level of participation and collaboration throughout the day highlighted the strength of our language teaching community.

It was particularly encouraging to see strong representation from teachers of Arabic, Japanese, Lithuanian, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Portuguese, and Russian, reflecting the growing richness of language education in Irish schools. Their collective expertise and commitment help ensure that more students have opportunities to engage with language learning, regardless of their background or location.

The day also provided an opportunity to celebrate the contribution of long serving teacher Ludmila as she begins her retirement. The new team of Arabic teachers were also welcomed, whose enthusiasm and expertise will be a wonderful addition to the team.

Thank you to everyone who shared ideas, resources and experiences throughout the day. The enthusiasm and engagement of our teachers continue to drive innovation and excellence in language education.
