Last week, PPLI’s team of Associates came together for the 2026/27 Kick-Off Meeting.

PPLI Associates come from diverse school contexts across Ireland and bring a wealth of expertise, experience and perspectives in modern foreign language (MFL) teaching and learning.

The day provided an opportunity to connect, share practice and build collective knowledge. There was input and discussion around the Language Trends Ireland research, Guidance and MFL, the Foreign Language Assistant Scheme, the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the Action-Oriented Approach and PPLI’s Leaving Certificate language provision.

We are delighted to have this fantastic group working alongside the wider PPLI team to support language teachers and schools across Ireland.
