Sligo Education Centre Webinar Series: Digital Technology for MFL Teachers

Post-Primary Languages Ireland is happy to collaborate on a series of webinars with Sligo Education Centre.

Three evenings to discover, or refresh your memory, on digital tools.

MFL teachers, Language assistants and PME students can attend one, two or all three of the webinars. Registration below.

Classroom screen – Classroom Management Tool

Classroomscreen is a free online resource with a variety of instructional tools at your fingertips. It is quick, engaging and an effective classroom management tool. Displays can be set to match the target language and there is a range of cultural backgrounds to choose from.

Wordwall– Create Better Lessons Quicker

Wordwall is an online resource which offers a free or subscription service and allows you to create

interactive or printable activities including quizzes, match ups and word games.

Digi Tech for Languages

Digi Tech for Languages was developed during the academic year 2020/2021 by representatives of Junior Cycle for Teachers (JCT), Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) and Post-Primary Languages Ireland (PPLI) to help support language teachers and language departments introduce and embed digital technologies and digital tools in their teaching to support active student engagement and active learning.

During the session, Sandrine will give background to its creation and will demonstrate how it can be used. Time will be allocated for Q & A.
