Writing a description of a painting
Dorota Połatyńska provides us with a very specific way in which we can use paintings and descriptions of them to help them to use adjectives, prepositions and nouns. This activity begins with a reception activity and develops into a production activity where students are writing their own descriptions of paintings.
It involves students (and teacher!) drawing descriptions of the paintings and comparison of the two to help reinforce their understanding of the target texts.
